-
This program has even been used as a training tool for foster parents and as a follow-up for children coming out of residential treatment.
-
Imagine how helpful a program like this would be if it were offered to members of a parenting support group or as a supplement to a behavior management class.

Church groups and MeetUp groups could have a hey-day organizing get-togethers to discuss the ideas offered in this program.
There's no end to its benefits!
The Parent Coach Plan: How it Began

After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Chris Theisen went to work as a Mental Health worker in a local psychiatric hospital for children and adolescents. As with most treatment-oriented facilities, this one used a “level system” to encourage positive and appropriate behavior. The “level system” also provided a consistent, predictable, and highly-structured environment for these children, an environment in which many of them thrived.
Chris soon realized that these children were being set up for failure because most of them would be returning to families that were incapable of following through with the system of discipline that was being followed at the hospital. He was then challenged by a co-worker to create a discipline program, similar to the one used in the facility, that these families could follow in their own homes. That night, Chris went home and began the process of creating what is now known as The Parent Coach Plan. This plan is now being used all over the world to improve child behavior and the results are quite impressive.
The style of discipline that a child is raised with can have long lasting effects on his or her personality, self-esteem, and future behavior. If you wish to raise a well-adjusted and socially responsible child, then it is important to develop a style of discipline that is firm, fair, consistent, and predictable.
The Parent Coach Plan will help you do this.
